The best partnerships begin with trusted and consistent collaboration. This is what happened to Cimbria and Ibis in 2001 when the distribution agreement began with a clear mission to help customers with cleaner and more efficient loading with Moduflex chutes in the UK and Ireland.
Cimbria in Herning – at that time called T. H. Rasmussen A/S – had already developed, produced and sold the first loading chute for the loading of grain by DLG in 1977. They decided to invest in further marketing, development and selling of this product as it seemed to hold great potential. T. H. Rasmussen A/S was bought in 1988 by Cimbria, and the Moduflex brand was further enhanced and promoted.
The history of Ibis Intergrid Ltd goes back further in time. It was born with a clear focus to boost the distribution of the Moduflex product line by managers with extensive experience in the market. They knew the characteristics of Cimbria's products in detail and counted on a high level of support. The company manager's first order of business was to work with customers to replace older loading chutes with new Moduflex solutions. Their hard work is the reason why the name "Moduflex" has become a "household" name throughout their territory. Ibis has placed a special focus on the industrial sector for bulk products and bringing forward solutions for cement, lime, fly ash, and similar industries, such as port terminals.
From August 1st 2001, the date of the agreement, the partnership has grown with constant sharing of market information, regular meetings, daily support and contact. The teams have worked together with consistent marketing efforts from both sides. Today, IBIS/Cimbria is the market leader in UK and Ireland with the Moduflex product line, having sold several hundreds of loading chutes in the region.
Thanks, IBIS for these 20 years of fruitful collaboration!
